VFS - Graduation Film

Roll : Co-Director, Lighting and FX Artist, Concept Artist

For Final Horizon, a small scale team project, I was responsible for both FX and lighting using Houdini’s Solaris and Karma XPU. I set up large-scale environment lighting, balancing exposure, color, and mood to support the overall scene. On the FX side, I handled destruction, pyro, and particle simulations, ensuring they integrated naturally with the lighting and environment. I optimized rendering, configured custom AOVs and layer rendering, and contributed to compositing in Nuke during the final stages of production. During pre-production, I worked on concept art and visual development to help establish the project’s overall look and feel. Beyond the creative and technical work, I also managed scheduling and project coordination to ensure a smooth pipeline and keep the team aligned with production milestones.
